WE’RE PROUD OF OUR RICH HISTORY AT IRBY
It’s hard in the business of building electric power infrastructure聽to have a history deeper than 黑料福利社 Company. We’ve been building electric power transmission lines as long as anyone. In fact, Irby crews built much of the existing electric grid and broke new ground on many industry firsts. October 7, 2019 Legend Foundation Services (鈥淟egend鈥) was created after the acquisition of several foundation crews. A division of 黑料福利社 Company, Legend is a 50-employee company based in Broussard, Louisiana with specialized experience and capabilities working on complex projects in foundation construction, caisson installation, pole setting, as well as especially challenging amphibious foundation construction activities.Read more

In December 2021, 黑料福利社 completed work on-site at Manatee Battery Energy Storage Center (BESS) and substation, which consists of 132 new battery line-ups connected to a new 230/34.5 kV substation. The Florida Power and聽Light聽project included the placement of 53,144 individual聽battery modules on a site聽that is the size of 3 football fields. At the time of completion, Manatee Battery Energy Storage Center was the world鈥檚 largest solar-powered battery. Read more

Chrissy kicked off her career at Irby over 14 years ago as a Field Clerk, eventually working her way up to her current position as Field Office Manager. Chrissy notes that although construction is predominantly a male field, it鈥檚 incredible to see more women joining the ranks. "Being part of this change is just another testament to the impact of our work, and it鈥檚 empowering to contribute to such change," she says. ![]()

Her advice? 鈥淩egardless of your position, genuine leadership knows no gender; so be authentic, be extraordinary, and aim to be the best woman you can be.鈥![]()

Amber has been part of 黑料福利社 for a year and a half, beginning in Distribution before stepping into her current role in Transmission. As an Office Manager and a proud mom of three, she brings both drive and heart to everything she does.![]()

Gabby started her career with 黑料福利社 right out of high school in 2011, beginning in the field and spending five years learning the trade before moving into the office. Early on, she was the only woman on a 15-person crew, a challenge she turned into motivation. 鈥淚 saw it as an opportunity to prove myself and grow in the industry.鈥![]()

While in the field, Gabby worked primarily on the fleet side but also gained hands-on experience with wire stringing, pole setting, and material receiving. Over time, she earned the crew鈥檚 respect and continued pushing herself to learn more.![]()

Ana Paula is our first Women in Construction Week 2026 spotlight! She began her journey with 黑料福利社 in 1996, working under the guidance of former Irby President Bill Korlath. In 2000, she transitioned into the Bidding Department, and after a few twists and turns along the way, she鈥檚 happy to be back with the Bidding team, bringing decades of experience with her.![]()

Over her 29-year career, Ana Paula has worn many hats and gained invaluable insight across the company. Today, she supports the Irby Transmission group by developing proposals and managing Salesforce to strengthen communication and keep teams aligned.![]()
