Founded in 1945, the is the national trade association for companies constructing electric power facilities, including transmission and distribution lines and substations and telephone, fiber optic, and cable television systems.

has been affiliated with the PCCA since 1955 and have been heavily involved ever since. They have had employees serve as President of the organization for the years 1975, 1989, 2004, 2005, and most recently, 2019.

On Tuesday, March 12th, Dave Aubrey was officially named President of the PCCA for the 2019-2020 year. He has served on the Board of Directors since 2007.

Aubrey has already made strides as a member of the PCCA. On January 29th of this year, 30 PCCA members flew to Capitol Hill to express some industry concerns with lawmakers. They discussed dig-in reports, exemption from hours-of-service and electronic logging, to name a few.

The PCCA’s mid-year convention will be held in Park City, Utah in July.

Dave Aubrey began his career with Okay Construction Company in May of 1985. Shortly after Okay Construction was merged with ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÉç Company in 2011, Aubrey was promoted from Foreman to Superintendent. We look forward to all that Aubrey will accomplish during his term. Friday, March 29 the will publish the Top CEO’s for 2019. ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÉç is proud to have our President, Lee Jones, recognized for this honor. Lee was among several prominent recipients in this year’s class including President, Anthony Wilson, and Mississippi’s President, David Gates. Congratulations Lee!

As President of ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÉç, Lee Jones drives the operations of the largest, nonunion, specialized contractor of electric power for. Prior to his current role, he served as Director of Project Management at Quanta Services. In this position he oversaw the Project Management Office, providing key insight for the successful execution of major electric power transmission projects across Quanta’s 56 Operating Units.

Mr. Jones began his career at Irby in 2002. In 2008, Mr. Jones went on to work for another Quanta subsidiary, , where he participated in the execution of several large electric power projects in the state of Texas. Mr. Jones worked his way up to Vice President at North Houston Pole Line participating in several important projects working directly with Quanta Services management and many of Quanta’s subsidiaries. In December of 2015, Quanta Services announced its appointment of Mr. Jones as President of ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÉç Company which was effective on March 1, 2016.Ìý

Irby 2019 Superintendents’ Meeting

The 2019 Irby Superintendents’ Meeting was held on February 27th and 28th at the . Irby President Lee Jones kicked off the meeting with a recap of 2018 and where we are headed this year. We heard from a range of speakers in all departments such as Operations, Safety, Accounting, and several more.

Quanta Services Senior Vice President Jody Shea spoke along with three other employees, Jack Dwyer, Amanda Miller, and David Flener.

Our guest speakers this year were Steve Davidow and Kevin Hariar from . They gave great insight into engineering in the SouthEast and geotechnical data.

Following the meeting on Wednesday, Irby hosted a vendor fair where vendors set up booths and visited with other Irby employees. Thank you to , , , and for your participation. Hope to see you all again next year.
